The Head teacher of Government School G.S Kong in the Wum Subdivision, North West Region, Fungnam Rene Kum, has been killed by unidentified men. The sad incident occured on Tuesday October 5, 2021 night in his residence.
According to the neighbors of Fungnam Rene, gunshots were heard at about 9pm on the day of his demise. “We did not know where they came from or who they were. We simply remained indoors”, a witness explained.
Moments after gunshots, reports say, a boy who lives with Fungnam Rene alerted his neighbors about the tragedy.” I couldn’t do anything I had to hide, I was afraid too”. He narrated.
KNews learnt the Head Teacher, was killed by gunmen and some parts of his body were cut off by the assailants. The people all believe the cause of his death or the act inflicted on him was because of his devotion and deligence towards his job as a teacher. Given the fact that, same day was “Teacher’s Day” and he is or was a Head teacher.
The people cried for such a great man and pray that this bloodly fights and killings could end soon, for Peace to return to home soils. The mortals remains of the Head teacher awaits burial.
The identity of the murderers remains unknown. At press times no camp has accepted responsibility of the macabre act.
