The President of the National Communication Council, Joseph Chebonkeng says Limbe is the cradle of Anglophone Journalism.
He made this statement at the end of his two days tour in the South West Region today in Limbe.
Chebonkeng congratulate Journalists in the South West Region for braving the ought in reporting stories without impartiality.
"What I have seen in the South West, I'm very satisfied, a very vibrant and diverse press sector be it audiovisual and print sector is quiet interesting.
"One of the things I have noticed here, is local initiative particularly at the level of television, a lot of local television stations, that are impacting the lives of the level of the locality they're operating,
"In Buea and in Limbe. You know Limbe is the cradle of Anglophone Journalism." Joseph Chebonkeng said.
He urged Journalists to respect the tenets of the profession and verify information before disseminating to the public.
Some print media organs laments peanut subvention given to them by the State, difficult to distribute the Newspapers on Monday due to ghost town initiated by separatist fighters.
