Bamenda city dwellers and the Nso community are in shock following the tragic death of Marceline, a breastfeeding mother of two.

According to reports, Marceline lost her life after allegedly being brutally beaten by her husband over the weekend.

Marceline, a hairstylist and owner of a salon at Foncha Junction in Mile 3 Nkwen, had reportedly endured a long history of domestic abuse from her husband. Despite her optimism that things would improve, the abuse sadly escalated over time.

Earlier this week, a violent altercation broke out between the couple, resulting in Marceline being kicked multiple times in the stomach by her husband.

Given her vulnerable state, having recently given birth and still breastfeeding, Marceline collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, she did not survive.

Upon learning of her death, Marceline's husband fled to an unknown destination.

Marceline was fondly remembered as a hardworking and determined woman who had recently graduated an apprentice from her salon and continued training others in the trade.

At the time of reporting, investigations have been launched to apprehend Marceline's husband who is on the run.
