Wotutu-Ewongo football tourney: Agborem donates cash prize for highest goal scorer

The President of Cameroon Association of Media Professional (CAMP) and Editor-in-Chief the Dawn Newspaper, Solomon Agborem has donated a cash prize of FCFA 10,000 to the highest goal scorer of the 2026 edition of the Wotutu-Ewongo Football Tournament


He made this donationon Saturday, July 3, 2026, during a press conference to officially launch the tournament.


“Firstly, I wish to congratulate the vision bearer of the Wotutu-Ewongo Football Tournament, Edwin Eselem, for his resilience,” Agborem said.


“He has sustained this initiative for the past five years, so I decided to sponsor one of the prizes by donating a cash prize of FCFA 10,000 for the highest goal scorer.


“My hope is that this shall inspire fair play and promote the game in a unique way. Once again, I congratulate Edwin Eselem for this initiative.”


The Wotutu-Ewongo Football Tournament, now in its 6th edition, has become a major sporting event aimed at promoting talent, unity and fair play among youths in the community.


The tournament will kickoff on Sunday, July 5, 2026 to August 29, 2026 at Catholic School Ewongo-Wotutu.
