JEN foundation doles out didactic materials, foodstuff to orphans, underprivileged children

The Limbe-based non-profit organisation, J.E. Nganje Foundation, popularly known as JEN Foundation, on Saturday, August 8, 2026, donated didactic materials and foodstuff to orphans and underprivileged children in Limbe II Subdivision.

The colorful event took place at the Cameroon Foster Care Center, CAHECAM, in Ngeme and later at Limbe river club. It was graced by the presence of HRM Mayor Woka Ndive Daniel.

Speaking during the event, Mayor Woka Ndive said the administration is always happy to welcome such initiatives. “We are happy and say thank you very much. You are always welcome to Limbe II whenever the need arises,” he said.

He told the orphans that their present situation will not define their future. “It is not how fast you go in life, but how far you go. Always believe in God,” he urged them.

According to the Founder of JEN Foundation, Joseph Nganje, the yearly donation is aimed at touching the lives of underprivileged children. He pledged to do more in subsequent editions.

Nganje lamented that for six years the foundation has been operating without sponsors. He disclosed that the donations were made possible through contributions from executive members of the foundation.

He noted that the foundation has donated to five orphanages in Limbe II and III, and hopes to extend its outreach to Buea, Muyuka, Tiko, and Idenau. He encouraged the children to remain hopeful and trust in God for sustainability.

On her part, the promoter of CAHECAM Orphanage, Delphine Labo, described the donation as timely support. “We have gone through a lot of challenges. Some days we don’t even know what to eat. This support will go a long way in helping the children eat and continue with their activities,” she said.

She revealed that the orphanage, which is 12 years old, currently has 28 children. Over the years, it has received and catered for 250 children. At age 18, the children are expected to leave and cater for themselves.

After the donation of foodstuffs at CAHECAM, members of the JEN Foundation executive proceeded to Limbe River Club, where they donated back-to-school didactic materials to members of Noble Brothers and Sisters.

Speaking at the event, the CEO of JEN Foundation, Joseph Nganje, said the back-to-school initiative is one of the foundation’s key objectives.

“We thought that before these children go back to school, let’s touch their lives by donating these didactic materials to help reduce the burden on their parents,” he said.

The President of Noble brothers and sisters, Raymond Otto, expressed gratitude to JEN Foundation for the gesture. One of the beneficiaries, Samuel Kemonton, pledged to work hard so as to continue benefiting from the foundation’s largesse.

A parent from Noble Brothers and Sisters also appreciated the CEO of JEN Foundation, who is a member of their group, for facilitating support for their children’s education.
