Working Women's Circles, Partner Fete Christmas With Vulnerable Children

Two charitable organizations, Working Women's Circles and Mendem Foundation on Monday, December 22 partnered and threw a mammoth Christmas party for 400 less privileged children and their parents in the Bakoko neighborhood, Limbe 1 Sub-division.
The fun-filled Christmas party which witnessed the distribution of toys, clothes, shoes, food items among others as part Christmas festivities.
Explaining the rationale behind the gesture, the Founder Working Women's Circles, Carine Nchia Fonjie, said her organization is committed to enhancing lives, bringing hope to the less fortunate children in the society by ensuring smiles on their faces especially during the yuletide season.
She noted that the essence of the yuletide is showing care, sharing and putting smiles on people's faces, especially the less privileged the yuletide period season.
Mme Fonjie advised the children to remember that Jesus came into the world to make a difference, advising that they must emulate Him so that they can positively impact their families and society.
She urged them to pray fervently to God to bless them and prosper their mothers and daddies to better carter their needs.
To add colour to the event, activities such as dancing competitions and musical chairs among others were staged including motivational talks sessions where the kids had fun and were equally advised on healthy living.
The 2025 event is the ninth edition of the initiative, which had previously been held in Wotutu-Ewongo, Batoke, Moliwe and Motowoh.
The beneficiaries appreciated the gesture saying that it will be a celebration for their families during the festive period.
The Working Women's Circles and Mendem Foundation are non-profit organizations that strives to enhance underprivileged lives by providing basic necessities to vulnerable women within communities.
Since its inception, the organizations have been very instrumental in reaching out to those living in underserved communities; providing educational materials, outreach activities, and donation to improve lives.
