The University of Buea has announced a final chance for students with outstanding fees to settle their debts and regain their studentship.
This is contained in a communique issued on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ngomo Horace Manga.
This exceptional opportunity is aimed at helping students who have lost their academic standing due to non-payment of fees.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, students who owe fees, including those who have lost their student status, are urged to take advantage of this limited-time offer to pay their outstanding fees in full.
This will enable them to regain their academic standing and continue their studies without any further disruptions. To facilitate the payment process, the university has outlined a clear procedure for students to follow.
This includes visiting the Receipt Control Office to determine the amount owed, obtaining authorization for late payment of fees from the Registrar, and making the payment at the designated bank.
Once the payment is made, students are required to present their bank payment receipt to their Faculty Officer for validation in the online portal.
This will ensure that their studentship is reinstated, and they can continue their academic pursuits without any issues.
The University's decision to offer this final opportunity is seen as a positive step towards supporting students who are facing financial difficulties.
It demonstrates the institution's commitment to helping students overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
Students are advised to act promptly and take advantage of this limited-time offer to settle their outstanding fees and regain their studentship.
