Tragedy in Mbalmayo: Army Officer Found Dead in Nyong River

The lifeless body of Atangana Meka Magloire Charly, a member of the Cameroon's defense and security forces, has been retrieved from the Nyong River in Mbalmayo, Centre Region of Cameroon. 

According to reports, the uniformed officer had gone swimming around 9 am on Saturday morning. His corpse was later recovered by fishermen who were informed of the unfortunate incident. 

The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear, with some sources claiming he had gone to do laundry with his sister when he decided to swim. His body has been deposited at the mortuary pending burial.
