Barely 48 hours to South West Regional election, Aspirant President, Henry Njalla Quan Junior has decried a lot of malpractices lingering the elections on Monday November 1, 2021.
He made this remarks on Saturday October 30, 2021 during a press conference at Njalla Quan sports complex at Man O War Bay in Limbe III Subdivision.
According to Henry Njalla Quan Jr. there is a leaked recorded conversation between a delegate and one of the candidates for the upcoming regional elections, “we can hear the delegate telling the candidate that she is going to refund the money he sent to her. In response, the candidate can be heard telling her that she can keep the money.” “We have also identified screenshots from a WhatsApp chat between the delegate and supposedly the same candidate as the telephone number featuring on the chat as well as a campaign manifesto can be identified to one of the candidates taking part in the November 1 Regional elections”. Henry Njalla Quan averred.

From this chat we can see that the candidate transferred the sum of FCF 202 500 to the delegate in question in an apparent attempt to buy her vote.

“We have also notified the electoral committee of the recent happenings so that the necessary steps should be taken in order to ensure free and fair elections and that the full rights of all recognised delegates and candidates which have been arbitrarily taken away be totally restored.” Henry Njalla Jr. explained. He added that they shall also be taking civil action against all those who have participated in the malpractices mentioned above, particularly abuse of power, corruption, exercise of corrupt practices etc. This does not exclude an official complaint that shall be filed to the National Anti-Corruption commission (CONAC) as well the authorities for a possible criminal action to be taken against the perpetrators. “It is a very disheartening to witness people deliberately manipulate the destiny of a region that is in dire need of a football revival making a mockery of all the infrastructure which has been given to us by the State.” Henry Njalla Jr. Lamented. He called on the general public collaborate to expose such persons and make sure they are completely eradicated from football in the South West region, Cameroon and the world at large. “Let it be known to the entire world that should any deliberate physical harm befall any football stakeholder, particularly those who are already victims of threats including myself, the culprits shall be easily identified.” Henry Njalla echoed. Mrs Tang Enow Manyi Epse Tarh Rose who is the only woman to own a male and female club in the entire South West Region, the biggest football promoter in Manyu division and the only woman and person from the Manyu divisional league vying for the post of delegate to the General Assembly of FECAFOOT has been arbitrarily disqualified by the appeals committee of FECAFOOT without being asked to provide justifications to the claims made against her following an unfounded appeal lodged by five clubs who are partisans to the interim bureau of the league (Ajax F.C Likomba, Little Foot F.C Tiko, FUSSA Limbe, ISHOSA Limbe and Prisons F.C Buea). Njalla Quan Jr. Lamented that, a letter dated October 23, 2021 designating Dr. Ndifor Peter Louis as representative of LIFCA at the elective General assembly by FECAFOOT to the President ELECTORAL COMMISION FECAFOOT YAOUNDE; Medical certificate date October 26, 2021, on the letter-headed paper signed in Dr Mahamat Ahmed, Director of Medicine; A letter headed paper having as subject : Replacement of Mr. Motanga Andréw Monjimba by Dr Ndifor Peter Louis as delegate to November 1 South West regional FECAFOOT Elective General Assembly was rejected. Members of the Fecafoot Electoral Commission via her President super scale magistrate Gilbert Schlick reassures the Cameroonian media men and women of a free, fair and transparent regional electons.
Addressing the press, Justice Schlick said, “On behalf of the Fecafoot Electoral Commission, l wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire media, forces of law and order and officials of Elecam for their service and efforts in ensuring that the Divisional elections unfold in a free and fair style to the satisfaction of all"
"The Fecafoot divisional elections took place in all the divisions under a serene and calm atmosphere, with the exception of the North West region due to the ongoing crisis and the absence of a championship."
Apart from the North West, were the Lom and Djerem, Boumba and Ngoko, Haut Nyong, the Ntem in the South region and Kupe Manegouba that witnessed the non election of President, Vice-Presidents and members of the assembly.
