Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim is at verge of losing his job as per reports. According to Fichajes, United are already thinking about a “new replacement” following Amorim’s failure to instill a clear identity and to maintain positive results on a consistent basis.
This form has led to many question marks over Amorim’s ability to lead the Mancunian giants and a report from Spain has now suggested that his future at Old Trafford is uncertain.
Fichajes says United board have already begun to “evaluate possible alternatives” for their managerial position ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday February 16 was their 12th Premier League loss of the season. The last time they lost that many times in their first 25 games of a single season was in 1973/74 the campaign in which they were relegated.
The Portuguese tactician, who earned comparisons to Jose Mourinho after leading Sporting CP to two Liga Portugal titles, arrived in Manchester amid much fanfare.
Erik ten Hag’s departure was welcomed by the United faithful, as the Dutchman failed to get the best out of players at his disposal.
Manchester United have decided to keep the 40-year-old at the helm until the end of the season unless a “disaster occurs that forces drastic measures to be taken before time.”
