Strive for excellence foundation, community development pathway foundation empowers adolescents

Strive For Excellence Foundation and Community Development Pathway Foundation, in partnership with Eternity Gospel Radio Limbe, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, organised a one-day workshop for adolescents and youths at the Eternity Gospel Radio Conference Hall

The conference, dubbed “Transforming Challenges Into Opportunities”, was aimed at inspiring, educating, and empowering young people to build a better future. 

Speaking during the event, the project manager of Strive For Excellence Foundation and Community Development Pathway Foundation, Amb Otu Emmanuel Sakwe, said the workshop was designed to equip adolescents and youths with tools to overcome personal and social challenges and convert them into opportunities for growth and development. 

He noted that the timing of the program was strategic, given that students are on holiday and are exposed to various influences. 

“We organized this program so that students gain knowledge, skills and have tools to handle certain challenges that they face,” 

“We gave them tools to ensure that when these challenges come, they can be handled. I think that giving them this knowledge at this time is going to help them a lot to navigate through this period and even when they go back to school.” 

Otu Sakwe said. 

Otu Sakwe urged the students to understand that challenges will always exist, but they now have the capacity to overcome them. 

Quizzed on the way forward, Sakwe said participants will be enrolled into the foundations’ mentorship program. 

He also called on parents to collaborate with the organizations to ensure students implement what they have been taught. 

The students expressed joy over the enriching workshop and promised to put into practice the 

lessons learned.
