The Ad Hoc Committee of South West/ North West Women’s Taskforce on Saturday, February 8, 2025, installed the new coordination unit (SNWOT) in Buea while announcing the end of a successful restructuring process.
This ceremony took place during an enlarged exco meeting committed to outline strategies and action plans to raise awareness of the coalition's work, build trust and credibility while engaging key stakeholders to ensure women’s meaningful participation in peace-building processes in Cameroon.
The new coordination team includes the General Coordinator, Mrs Cloutilda Andiensa. The Regional Coordinator for South West Region, Mrs Arrah Nkongho and Dr. Eileen Tabuwe Akwo for the North West Region.
The Board of Directors is headed by Mrs Omam Esther Njomo(Vision Bearer) and supported by Dr. Mrs. Mardaline Agbor, Mrs Beatrice Ndefon, Madam Chambi Julie and Madam Bolima Nancy.
The new General Coordinator for the South West North West Women's Taskforce (SNWOT) Mrs. Cloutilda Andiensa as the head of the coalition, has as mandate to design projects and programmes that would prioritize safety, inclusivity and local ownership for women and girls in fragile environments and host communities in Cameroon.
It should be noted that for over the past eight years, SNWOT has witnessed significant progress in Gender, Conflict transformation and Peacebuilding programming in conflict affected communities in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon.
