The term 'Illuminati' is often mentioned whenever the success of the global music industry is discussed. In fact, it's almost evasive to have a colloquium on the highest musical award, the Grammy, without the term 'Illuminati' popping up.

This is because most social media users have likened the award of a Grammy to be an award of a musician's initiation into the Illuminati, which they claim is a secret cult that makes people famous in their domain of interest.

Although there have been persistent proclamations and claims of the Illuminati being a secret sect that ensures fame and wealth, there is a paucity of people who hold strongly that the Illuminati is a conspiracy theory.

They hold firmly that success and fame in every domain, particularly the music industry, are gotten through talent, hard work, and luck.

Since there are dividing opinions about the nature of the Illuminati, it is mandatory to dig deep into the issue by accosting the following: (1) The concept of the Illuminati, (2) conspiracy theories about the Illuminati, and (3) real evidence of the existence of the Illuminati.

To begin with, Britannica on the origin of the Illuminati says the term "Illuminati" means "The Enlightened Ones", a name applied to several groups throughout history. The most well-known was the Bavarian Illuminati, founded in Bavaria.

Weishaupt, a former Jesuit, aimed to replace Christianity with religion based on reason. His secret society, whose members called themselves "Perfectibilists", was organised with a strict hierarchy similar to the Jesuit order.

The Bavarian Illuminati recruited members from wealthy and influential individuals and infiltrated Masonic lodges. They used cyphers and secret names of communication, adding to their mystique.

Despite operating across a wide area of Europe, the group likely never exceeded 2000 members. The Bavarian government banned the movement in 1785, and it disappeared from historical records after that year.

From the brief account above, it is lucid that the Illuminati were an official group that operated in well-known arenas, and their meetings were attended by persons who officially declared themselves as members.

But this is no longer the case today, or it seems that after it was banned, the Illuminati has transferred from official to unofficial, and as a result many members aren't proud to openly declare their membership in the group, perhaps because of mortification or fear of the group receiving a second ban. Now, we can only talk about the Illuminati as a theory or a facade.

This theoretical aspect of the Illuminati is propounded by some celebrities and world leaders who hold that the claim of the existence of a secret cult called 'Illuminati' is just a conspiracy theory. But then, let's look at the conspiracy theories or what people say about the illuminati. General Conspiracy Theories

(1) A New World Order

they claim that the ultimate goal of the Illuminati is to form a single totalitarian world government that eliminates national sovereignty.

(2) Control of the entertainment industry

Conspiracy theorists argue that the Illuminati controls the entertainment industry and media to distribute messages and symbols like the all-seeing eye and triangle imagery to influence the public. The highest celebrities who have suffered from the hands of conspiracy theorists are the power couples J-Z and Beyoncé, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett, LeBron James, Lady Gaga, and Lil Nas.

(3) Puppet

Governance Many believe high-ranking politicians and elite organisations like the UN, IMF, and World Bank are puppets of this shadow sect. They argue that these world leaders get their powers to control the world from this sect which they call the Illuminati.

(4) Famous DeathsSome of the propagandists uphold that some celebrities who speak out against the system, such as Michael Jackson, were killed by the Illuminati.

(5) Symbolism

The "Eye of Providence" on the US $1 bill is commonly referred to as a symbol of their influence despite a lack of evidence that the original Bavarian group used this symbol.

Though this seems to be mere claims without ardent evidence, testimonies from some celebrities are directing towards the existence of the Illuminati, as they claim to be former members who have left the sect, which gives you demonic conditions to fulfil in order to be famous.

As for musicians, former members purport that you can't win the Grammy award without joining the Illuminati, which is all about devil worship. They further hold that for the Illuminati to make you famous, you have to sell your soul to the devil or kill a member of your family or engage in same-sex intercourse like lesbianism and homosexuality.

Some are asked to never get married and never make children. Some of the musicians who have testified about the Illuminati due to their membership experience include the following:

(1) EMINEM

Eminem is considered the world's best and finest rapper. But he has shocked the world that has always believed that talent alone can take you to global stages by revealing in some of his songs that he traded his soul to the devil in exchange for fame.

He mentioned it in his songs "Say Goodbye to Hollywood" and "Lucky You". A portion of the lyrics of Lucky You goes thus: "I have won a couple of Grammies, but I sold my soul to get them. It wasn't for the trophies but for the fucking recognition."

(2) Kanye West Kanye West, or Ye, as he is popularly known, has made some bold confessions about him selling his soul to the devil. In 2010, he tweeted that "I sold my soul to the devil; that was a crappy deal, but at least it came with a few toys and a happy meal."

In the same line during a Sunday service sermon in 2020, he implied that artists "sell their souls" by chasing gold statues and moving to Hollywood/New York, stating that the devil took all the producers, the musicians and the designers.

A list of the English or American artists that have not expressly stated their membership but have expressed it in their music videos includes Rihanna, Cardi B, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Timber Lake, etc.

Apart from the involvement of English artists in the Illuminati, French artists seem not to be left out. The most popular French artist who has expressly declared his membership and regret is Maître Gims, who has exposed the process of becoming famous by signing a blood pact in his music video titled Le Prix à Payer (The Price to Pay).

From the above discussions, the question I ask to you, the reader, is, Is the Illuminati still a conspiracy theory? Or does one need to fulfil a demonic condition before winning the Grammy?
