During the closing ceremony of the 2025 edition of the three-day Limbe Royal Cultural Festival (ROCULF) "Wana wa Phoh" which held on Saturday March 22, 2025 at the Jungle Village of the Limbe Botanic Garden.

The Paramount Chief of Limbe, HM Ikanea John Elufa Manga Williams appreciated all the Chiefs who answered present at the event and re-echoed his message of reviving the cultural heritage of his people.

“It’s in this light and direction that we are doing everything to realize this our goal. We need people to know we come from somewhere and we have a history and we have a culture that must be protected and projected,” HM Manga Williams said in his welcome address.

In another keynote address, the Senior Divisional Officer for Fako Division, Engelbert Viang Mekala, reiterated the need to promote living together for a peaceful and harmonious municipality.

He explained that to promote culture, there is need for peace. “I think ir is thanks to the peace that’s resigning in our Division, Subdivision, villages that we can gather and organise activities like this one”. Viang Mekala added.

He encouraged attendees to sensitise their peers to massively attend next year’s edition. Prelude to the event at Jungle Village, Botanic Gardens, Limbe there was Sports Walk from Fako SDO’s office, passing through Half Mile, New Town, down to the Beachfront and ended at Limbe Paramount Chiefdom palace.

Later on in the evening, there was an ecumenical service and cultural evening at the Paramount Chief's palace in Mbonjo where Rev. Bimi Godlove drew his meditation from Revelation 7:19 -21.

He emphasised that when people come together whatever they want to do, they succeed in it.

But when there is tribalism among others, there will be no progress and economic development. “If Limbe must move forward each and everyone of us must play our part,” Rev. Bimi Godlove said.

At the Beachfront on Saturday morning, various games such as swimming, tug of war, canoe race were organised to revive culture in Limbe Chiefdom. Bonangombe emerged victorious in the Canoe Race.

Bonabile and Dikolo came in second and third respectively.
