President Biya congratulates Eto’o on CAF Comex election

President Paul Biya congratulated Samuel Eto'o on his election to the CAF Executive Committee( COMEX) in a message dated March 13, 2024. Biya praised Eto'o's passion for football, which he believes will serve African football well. 

Eto'o, who's been leading the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) since December 2021, aims to restore Cameroonian football's greatness and transform the sport across Africa.

His election to the CAF Executive Committee occurred during the organization's meetings in Cairo, where he was elected by acclamation as the only candidate from the central Africa region.

Following his election, Eto'o expressed his commitment to contributing to the development of African football, stating that he will offer solutions to help CAF President Motsepe make informed decisions for the continent's success.
