The Imam of Bamusso central mosque in Ndian Division South West Region has been kidnapped by pirate from Nigeria on high sea.
KNews learnt the sad incident happened on Monday December 27, 2021. Imam idriss oumar was taken alongside four others. KNews later learnt the four persons are reported to have been killed while Imam idriss is still in captivity.
The pirate are asking for FCFA 500 million for the release of the Imam. The council of Imams and Muslims dignitaries of Cameroon, CIDUMUC, South West Regional office has confirmed the story.
