The Moderator of Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, the Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel Forba has urged 16 newly inducted pastors to serve for free. He made this remark on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the Presbyterian Church, Down Beach Limbe.
Drawing his inspiration from Acts 5:1-20, the servant of the Lord said serving the Lord is not only the responsibility of servant of God but for everyone.
“What the Church needs today are men and women, young people who have surrendered themselves to Christ and who are selflessly serving Christ without a price”, Rt. Rev. Fonki Samuel said.
He urged the newly inducted to serve God with all gratitude rather than grumbling. He regretted that despite the so much service the PCC has, pride has engulfed their practice.
“I have never been in a church that have more gifted people than the PCC. I have never been in a Church that has more opportunities and services.
“But I regret that despite all these gifts in them they’re not passionate in serving God.” Rt. Samuel Fonki said.
He also regretted that there is a lot of infighting in the Church because of position. “I would have loved to make everyone Moderator, Treasurers, Secretaries among others” Rt. Samuel Fonki added.
The Moderator urged the newly inducted to serve God not minding where, He has called them and keep serving the Lord for free where ever he has placed them.
It should be noted that the PCC has recorded an increase in her number of pastors.
This follows the Ordination of 16 new pastors into the Ministry of the Word and Sacraments.
The event was a continuation of a similar one done at PC Bafoussam, where seven of their colleagues were ordinated, making a total of 23 pas- tors ordained this 2022, christened "the Batch of Faith".
These 23 join the over 570 ordained pastors of the Ministry of the Word and Sacraments of the PCC, called to transform the world.
