PCC Moderator extends condolences to the Roman Catholic Church

The Moderator of Presbyterian Church in Cameroon Rt. Rev. Moki Hans Abia on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 issued a communique expressing his profound condolences to the Roman Catholic Church for the passing away of His Holiness Pope Francis.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15 With deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon joins the global Christian community in mourning the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis”,
“A faithful, devoted shepherd, and servant of God Pope Francis led the Church with humility, wisdom, and a compassionate heart that reached far beyond the Roman Catholic fold.” Rt. Rev Moki Hans said in a communique.
He added that his unwavering commitment to justice, peace, and the dignity of every human being has left a lasting legacy for Christendom and the world.
“To our brothers and sisters of the Roman Catholic Church, and to all who are grieving this profound loss, we know it was an Easter Monday morning of sorrow; we can only extend our prayers and solidarity”,
“May the God of all comfort be your strength, and may His peace guard your hearts in this time of sorrow”,
“As we celebrate the life, work, and witness of Pope Francis, may we all be inspired to walk more faithfully with Christ until that day when we shall meet again in glory” Rt. Rev Moki Hans said.
PC Bonadikombo church celebrates Easter with grandeur and festivities
An impressive crowd of Christians of Presbyterian Church PC Bonadikombo, Mile 4 Limbe, Fako Division, South West Region of Cameroon, gathered to celebrate Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
The Christians were full with joy, they all danced giving special thanks to God for witnessing the resurrection of Jesus Christ. They all affirmed remains their hope and confirmation of their faith.
The first service began at 7am and the second started at 9am with activities such as baptism and confirmation, special thanksgiving among others.
Speaking during the event, the Parish Pastor of PC Bonadikombo, Rev. Mrs Pamela Enanga Wilson said, Easter Sunday to all Christians is the day we believe Jesus Christ resurrected on Good Friday.
He was crucified on Good Friday, He died on the cross, was buried and on the third day which is Easter Sunday, He resurrected.
“We are happy, that is why we are celebrating that Christ has conquered the grave and had conquered death and has brought us victory external life and salvation.”
In her message drawn from Daniel 3:13-30, Rev. Pamela Enanga told the Christians that those who trust on the Lord are like Mount Zion; they can never be moved nor shaken.
“God has done us a good thing by giving us His Only begotten Son to die for us to be set free. Therefore we must believe and follow Him so that when we die, we shall resurrect.
Believe God and be saved, believe Jesus so that even when you die, you shall live again”. Rev. Pamela Enanga told the Christians.
On her part, the Chairperson of PC Bonadikombo, who doubles as Mayor for Limbe I Council, Mbwaye Eposi Florence urged her brethren to celebrate Easter Sunday with hope and also to reach out to the less privileged in the society.
“We suffered with Jesus in the last 40 days, died with Him on Good Friday, and today we have resurrected with Him.
“This has given us joy, hope, and a good future... Jesus was the only sacrificial lamb of God to wash away our sins once and for all... We are cleansed by His death and resurrection, and today we are so happy."
“From Ash Wednesday, Christians of PC Bonadikombo engaged in a 40-day self-denial program in commemoration of the sufferings and death of Jesus Christ.” Mayor Mbwaye Eposi explained.
