The second edition of Cameroon International Fair has come and gone, yet the population of Limbe as well as the organisers are yet to forget the impact created by PAMOL, one of the major partners in this second edition of the tourism fair.
PAMOL’s presence was definitely felt by all those who took part in the three-day event which started on Thursday 3, November till Saturday November 5, 2022 with PAMOL, the country’s giant agro-Industrial operator as one of the major partner.
This edition was tagged, "Ecotourism and Sociocultural Development: Harnessing and Valorizing Potentials for Sustainable Future."
The Cameroon International Tourism Fair is in its second edition organised by Flora Travel and Tours under the auspices of its CEO Agatha Iyok.
The General Manager of PAMOL, Mbile Tapea Solomon said “As a commercial company we are keen to promote peace so that our business can thrive to the satisfaction of our millions of customers and stakeholders both within and out of the country”
He added the crisis almost mar the operations of the company that operate deep in the most insecure area with a lot of violent and insecurity, so it was an opportunity to show to the rest of the world that they are still in existence and in productivity.
“Equally in this kind of tourism trade fair us being a government cooperation, we need to accept ourselves on that economic scale platform that we are still existing and off course, as we face many more difficulties, this is the time we need partners and if you don’t show that you are existing, you will not get assistance from your would-be creditors”. Mbile Tapea explained.
Quizzed on the prospects of PAMOL, he said the State has put in a lot of initiatives on the ground to try and rescue the company which is piloted by the Commission Technique De Rehabilitation, CTR, Yaoundé.
He opined that with all these initiatives in view, recovery is sure. “Is slow but steady.” Mbile Tapea stated.
“We should understand that all these State Cooperations are put where they are to help the local economic, to provide employment to Cameroonians and make their own contribution to the value chain”,
“So it our responsibility, in-fact it is an obligation by each and every member of the community to do their little bite in support, so that the survivor of these companies can be assured.” Mbile Tapea explained.
On his part, the sale marketing manager of PAMOL Rustum Nabanga Motiti said the sales incredibly increased. “My sales, this year is really wonderful. I remember last time we came here, the people where just looking at PAMOL oil”,
“So when they came this time around and saw PAMOL oil again they decided to increase their purchase,”
So my impression about this second edition of the Cameroon International Tourism Fair is really good. At least our products are been known outside the country and customers are also enjoying the products.” Rustum Nabanga explained.
Quizzed on the type of products PAMOL brought for sales, he said treated nuts, palm kernel, palm kernel oil which a litter was FCFA 1000, seedings which was nurtured in a well equipped research center.
Rustum Nabanga urges the population to collaborate with PAMOL, he revealed that in the days ahead in Ekondo-Titi they are expected to launch operation.
He added that in Mundemba PAMOL is well received. “You know PAMOL is Nile in Egypt, so the people of Mundemba know without PAMOL there’s no Mundemba.
