October 12 poll: APC party denies Kamto’s negotiations with any candidate

On Thursday, August 14, 2025, the National president of Front for Change (FCC) and Interim National Coordinator for Political Alliance for Change (APC) Hon. Jean Michael Nintcheu in a press release called on militants and supporters of change not to be discouraged forfeiture of the party.


He said “The Constitutional Council betrayed the trust of the Cameroonian people at the request of and in conjunction with CPDM, the Minister of Territorial Administration, the electoral body ELECAM, and the Constitutional Council, they arbitrarily excluded from the presidential election of October 12, 2025, the candidate presented by MANIDEM supported by the APC”


The statement also states that "neither the APC nor Professor Maurice KAMTO have engaged in discussions or negotiations with any of the candidates selected by the system for the presidential election in question. Any information to the contrary is nothing but trickery and manipulation."

“On August 5, 2025, the members of the Constitutional Council betrayed the trust of the Cameroonian people at the request of and in conjunction with the CPDM, the Minister of Territorial Administration, the electoral body ELECAM, and the Constitutional Council, they arbitrarily excluded from the presidential election of October 12, 2025, the candidate presented by MANIDEM supported by the APC, the People's Candidate, Professor Maurice KAMTO, who, as you all know, is causing real fear among Biya and his clan.”


”The APC notes with deplore this flagrant injustice committed under the stunned gaze of national opinion. Following Professor Maurice KAMTO, the APC calls on the people of Change to remain standing and not to be discouraged by this forfeiture”,


“The APC remains convinced that Change through Democratic Alternation remains the option most likely to spare our country the worst that some are working towards in full view of everyone For the continuation of the presidential election on October 12, the APC will make its position known in due course”,
