Oct 12 poll: Samuel Eto'o to campaign for Paul Biya in Ngambe

The President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o Fils has been appointed vice-president of the  Campaign Commission for Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) Ngambe in the Littoral region.

Pundits say Samuel Eto'o will campaign for President Paul Biya's re-election to the highest office is not  surprising, especially since the former Cameroonian football star has always shown his support for the 92-year-old. 

It should be noted Eto’o exclusive interview with France 24 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, he announced his involvement alongside Paul Biya in 2025. 

“Listen, I supported His Excellency Mr. Paul Biya in 2018 for reasons of my own. The presidential election is approaching, let it happen and I will decide”,

“But you know that until proven otherwise, I always support, I have always supported President Paul Biya conceded Samuel Eto'o Fils. It should be noted that Samuel Eto'o Fils also indicated during this interview that he was not interested in the Presidency of the Republic. 

“Most of the problems I encounter are because I am said to have the intention of becoming Head of State in Cameroon. Today, I have so many things to do that it is not something that crosses my mind” said Samuel Eto'o Fils.
