As the countdown to Sunday’s October 12 election in Cameroon narrows down, Limbe Paramount Chiefdom on Monday, October 6, 2025, publicly declared it stand to support President Paul Biya for victory.

The Chiefdom took this decision during a banquet with quarter heads, notables and members of the Paramount Chiefdom which also coincided with a yearly gathering to access the activities in the various quarters, problems and propose solutions.

“Today’s meeting was in that line, but it was also special because we decided to take a political stand and with the visit of the interim Section President for Fako I A”,

“Who came to talk to us about the campaig of H.E President Paul Biya, we decided to throw our weight to Biya.” HRM Elufa John Manga said.

He added that the Paramount Chiefdom think for the things they had achieved so far under the present regime and the problems they are facing in the quarters and in the municipality Biya is the right person to resolve them.

“Changing camp at this time is not idle and it’s not advisable. That’s the message we’re sending out to our quarter heads, notable and members of our traditional council. So that together we follow the path to victory under the leadership of H.E president Paul Biya.”

Quizzed why the choice of Biya, he said after analysing the candidates Biya is the right person for the top job. “When you look at the seriousness of the candidates we know who is serious of keeping to his promises”.

“Biya is the best choice for us and we’re not regretting that choice. We’re following up on that choice and we’ll give him the victory he deserves come October 12”. HRM Elufa John Manga said.

Reacting in line with a quarter head of his chiefdom who defected from SDF to join the CPDM at the event, he said, “I don’t want to call it defection but a change of ideology because when you’re not seeing results you better go where you’ll have victory.”

In his intervention, the interim Fako I A section president Ludwig Makaka Williams urged the quarter heads, to convince their subjects to massively vote Biya come October 12.

He told them that CPDM can not win without their support reason why they should leave no stone unturned to push Biya for victory.

“We actually came to finalise our relationship, bound with the palace. It has been a very successful visit. We have been assured of 100% victory from the third class chiefs and from the chiefdom”,

“It normal after election of October 12, we will come back and say thank you for the victory.” Ludwig Makaka said.

Speaking earlier, the Secretary General of Fako I A, Vivanje Ivo urged the third class chiefs to go back and sensitise their subjects to cast their vote for Biya.
