The Numfor Solange Foundation, Co donates laptops to Flavour Technical College Mokundage

Numfor Solange Foundation in partnership with Change Agent incorporation Japan on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 donated 10 laptop computers to students of Flavour Technical College Mokundage and planted trees at Bobende, Mokundage and Limbola community.


Speaking during the event, the Manager of Flavour Technical College Madam Olivia Asoh Ambe said she was overwhelmed with the planting of trees alongside the donor of computers. “The computers we just received have been our long-awaited dream and today the dream has finally come true.” Olivia Asoh added.


On her part, the founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Numfor Solange said tree planting with the students is an important activity that helps them to contribute to conserving the environment. “Having the youths involved is a way of grooming them and educating them in tree planting” Dr. Numfor Solange added.


In line with the laptop computers that were donated by Numfor Solange Foundation in partnership of Change Agent in cooperation a Japan consulting firm and other donors in Japan meant to strengthen the computer skills, literacy of the students at the young age. According to Dr. Numfor Solange it is essential for the students to start gaining these skills that will help them in their future careers to change Cameroon.


Dr. Numfor Solange added that having the exposure while in Japan, so she dreamt to give back to her country, Cameroon and to encourage the youths as how she had achieved.


Quizzed why the introduction of system-thinking to the students, she said is a model of solving complex system in a holistic manner. “We need to look at the system as a whole, global warming, computer education and waste management how it impacts the students the causes, effects and how the factors interplay with one another.

The representative of the Divisional Delegate of Environment and protection of Nature, the Chief of bureau of conservation and monitoring Mbotiji Clarisse Banguket epse Nfor said beside climate change, trees are essential in the community. She applauded Numfor Solange Foundation for such an initiative. Mbotiji Clarisse added that the activity is important to impact the students as they grow up knowing that tree planting is vital in the society.

“We know trees are essential in fighting against climate change. One of the benefits of trees is the prevention of global warming” Mbotiji Clarisse added.
