Notorious separatist commander who goes by the pseudonym as 'Field Marshal,' FM Millipede recently surrendered his arms to the military in Kumba.
FM Millipede until now, was the most wanted and dreaded separatist commander operating in Meme and Ndian Divisions of the South West Region.
He dropped his weapons and surrendered to defence and security forces in Kumba, headquarters of Meme Division.
It is reported FM Millipede surrendered his arms three days after he was given a deadline of one week to do so or be neutralised by soldiers of the Sixth Rapid Intervention Battalion, B.I.R, for the South West Region.
This comes after a certain Itoe Andre also known as Young Killer under FM Millipede was neutralised by defence and security forces in Big Ngbandi, a locality in Mbonge Subdivision.
The onslaught forced other fighters under FM Millipede to surrender a day later. They include Ghetto, Smallie and 'general' Jagaban. The repentant fighters handed over 4 weapons.
In view of the fact the noose was tightening on him with these developments, FM Millipede decided to abandon the kidnapping for ransom business and throw in the towel in Small Ngbandi village in Mbonge Subdivision.
At press time, he is currently being held at the Gendarmerie Company, Buea Road, Kumba, for the necessary formalities for onward transmission to the DDR Centre, where he will be trained before reintegration into the society.
