The seaside city of Limbe is buzzing with excitement as preparations heighten for Walk 4 Life Season 5, slated for December 6-13, 2025.

This year’s edition coincides with the silver jubilee celebration of the Njalla Quan Sports Academy, marking twenty-five years of sporting excellence, community service, and youth empowerment.

The event, tagged “Celebrating 25 Years of Njalla Quan Sports Academy,” will unite residents, sports lovers, and humanitarian partners in a spirit of solidarity and remembrance.

It should be noted that Njalla Quan Sports Academy (NQSA) has stood as a pillar of youth empowerment, sportsmanship, and community transformation, and this year’s Walk 4 Life promises to honor that legacy in the most meaningful way.

Activities will kickoff on Saturday, December 6, with a press briefing at the NQSA Conference Hall, followed on Sunday by visits and donations to the sick and vulnerable across Limbe—an act that reflects the Academy’s heart for compassion and its commitment to uplifting lives beyond the football field.

On Tuesday, December 9, volunteers will arrive at NQSA for orientation and preparation ahead of several community engagements.

From Wednesday, December 10, to Thursday, December 11, the city of Limbe will witness a large-scale health campaign and free medical consultations across various locations. This health drive seeks to bring hope and healing to hundreds, reminding the community that wellness remains one of the truest forms of wealth.

Thursday, December 11, will feature a deeply emotional and cultural highlight—a special night dedicated to the memory of Chief Henry Njalla Quan, the visionary founder of NQSA.

The event, to be held at the Njalla Quan family residence, will honor the life and legacy of a man whose dream reshaped sports development in Cameroon and inspired generations of athletes and leaders. The celebrations continue on Friday, December 12, with a canoe race at Down Beach at 8 a.m., capturing Limbe’s vibrant coastal spirit.

Later in the day, at 3:30 p.m., a veterans’ football exhibition match will take place at NQSA Man O’ War Bay, where NQSA will face Istanbul FA in a friendly but fiery display of skill, nostalgia, and camaraderie.

The grand finale comes on Saturday, December 13, when the city will rise before dawn for the much-loved 10 km “Walk for Life.” At 5:30 a.m participants will gather at the Limbe Community Field for warm-ups and receive their official T-shirts before setting off at 6:30 a.m.

The walk will take them through the scenic route of Limbe, cooling down at Manga Williams Avenue before arriving at NQSA to mark the completion of the 10 km journey.

The day will continue with a fitness contest, the awarding of prizes, and refreshments—an uplifting close to a week filled with energy, service, and solidarity.
