In a continent where the struggles of the majority often seem to fall on deaf ears, a new book, "The Inverted Pyramid of African Democracy," offers a compelling call to action.

According to the book author, Cameroonian-born social entrepreneur and educator Nelson Afrisoh the book will be launched in Buea in the first week of June 2025.

The book argues that lasting change in Africa can only be achieved by prioritising the basic needs of its people, including food, safety, respect, and opportunity.

By drawing on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the book presents a fresh perspective on how democracy should work in Africa.

Rather than focusing solely on speeches and slogans, true progress begins with leadership that listens to and acts on the needs of its people.

This approach is rooted in the simple truth that individuals who are struggling to meet their basic needs cannot fully participate in shaping their future. Real-Life Examples of Progress.

The book highlights real-life examples of communities across Africa that have made significant progress by putting people first.

These examples serve as a testament to the power of people-centered leadership and offer a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.

The Inverted Pyramid of African Democracy" is more than just a critique of the current state of affairs; it is a call to action.

The book challenges readers to rethink the current path and step into the arena to shape a future where governance is not just about power, but about fairness, dignity, and shared progress for all.

By emphasising the importance of vision, action, and courage, the book offers a roadmap for building a better future for Cameroon and Africa as a whole. Real progress begins the moment we stop watching and start building.
