MTN Foundation Cameroon empowers next generation of girls in Tech

MTN Foundation Cameroon empowered the next generation of girls in Tech at the Open Dreams Digital Center. 

The MTN Foundation Cameroon turned Girls in ICT Day 2026 into more than a celebration—it became a transformative experience for young girls stepping into the world of technology. 

Through access to Skills Academy certifications and exposure to artificial intelligence, participants didn’t just learn—they envisioned their future in STEM. 

Beyond the skills, the human stories defined the day. A hearing-impaired young girl took the stage and shared her journey, reminding everyone that inclusion is at the heart of innovation. 

“When you empower a girl with digital skills, you empower an entire generation. The impact goes far beyond technology—it transforms lives,” reflected Danièle Mbome, Executive Secretary of the MTN Foundation Cameroon. 

“Today changed how I see myself. I’m not just a student anymore—I’m a future innovator,” said a participant, smiling after receiving her certification. Said a participant.
