Monde- Buea: HRM Kwami Nangoh installs senior notables, urges them to be agents of development

On Saturday, January 10, 2026, HRM Kwami Beckley Nangoh installed 12 Senior notables at Monde village square in Muea court area, Buea Subdivision, Fako Division.
This move according to the traditional ruler, Chief Kwami Beckley Nangoh aimed to boost the community's development, strengthening the bonds of living together and salute the contributions of brave men to Monde's history.
In installing the twelve men, the Chief of Monde was overwhelmed with joy. He said it was a testament of how far the chiefdom had developed from a single house to much more.
"These people have Monde at heart and have sacrificed to make what you see here today," Chief Nangoh stated.
He further pointed out that the contributions of the selected were not to go unnoticed while charging them not to relent in goodwill towards building the community and positioning it on the mountain top.
The twelve installed included Ade Muamah Jr, Chief of Cabinet at the South West Governor's Office, Sango Mbua Isaac Embola, Director of Monitoring and Management Control in the Ministry of Decentralisation and Local Development, Navy Lieutenant Commander Gwanmesia Leslie Legima, among others.
Chairperson of the council of notables, Samuel Ndive in receiving his new peers, saluted their contribution to the community. He reminded the twelve that leadership was about service, commitment and dedication.
Samuel Ndive told the investors that they were to preserve the riches of Monde while embracing the opportunities that would shape its development.
Corroborating, the President of the Monde Cultural and Development Association, Marie Elinge, described the selection as a placement of trust.
She added that the association had been by the development prospects of the village in carrying out sustainable projects.
The ceremony was attended by the pioneer President of the North West Regional Assembly, Fon Yekum Kelvin, president of the Association of Young Traditional Chiefs of Cameroon (ACTRACAM), several Fako chiefs and the Regional Delegate of Arts and Culture for the South West, Doris Itoe.
