Mokalo Peter installed as head of block A Upper Mabeta New Layout

Mokalo Peter has been officially installed as the Block Head of Block A, Upper Mabeta New Layout in Limbe I Subdivision, Fako Division.

The colourful installation ceremony took place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in the presence of the Paramount Chief of Limbe duly represented, the Quarter Heads of Upper and Lower Mabeta, Council Members of Upper and Lower Mabeta, distinguished guests, inhabitants of Block among others.

In his inaugural address, Mokalo Peter expressed gratitude to the people for the confidence reposed in him. “You have chosen me, Mokalo Peter, to be your Block Leader for Block A. I stand before you with humility and I say thank you for the confidence you have in me,”

“Block A is our home. We are not just neighbours by compound, we are one family. We share the same road, the same light, the same water, the same security. When one house is in trouble, all of Block A is in trouble.”

As your Block Leader, I want you to know one thing: I will lead with you, not above you. I am your servant, not your master.” Mokalo Peter said.

He promised to be his brother’s keeper, ensuring residents know each other by name and by house, and that small problems are solved internally with wisdom.

Mokalo pledged to organize monthly general clean-ups for Block A and called on every household to participate. “Our gutters, our surroundings, our road together, we keep them clean. Cleanliness is health.”

He stressed that the safety of wives, children and property is paramount. He promised to work closely with the Quarter Head, vigilante and forces of law and order to keep Block A safe day and night.

He described himself as the bridge between the administration and Block A, promising to deliver any information, project or contribution that comes from the Chief’s palace or from the Council on time and with transparency.

Mokalo promised to synergy with the Quarter Head and with the leaders of Blocks B, C, D and other blocks for the progress of the entire Mabeta New Layout.

“Let us join hands and make Block A the most peaceful, the cleanest, and the most united block in Mabeta.” He concluded.

Speaking during the event, the quarter head of Upper Mabeta New Layout, Keh Kelvin insisted on strict respect of hygiene and sanitation, fight against insecurity by creating vigilante groups and to ensure they collaborate with administration.

Keh Kelvin stressed the need for community collaboration, encouraging residents of Block A to support their him in addressing challenges affecting the neighborhood.
