Minster Foutsou signs agreement with PHILJOHN Cares to create 3000 jobs for youths in 10 years

Youths Affairs and Civic Education Minister, Mounouna Foutsou has signed a partnership agreement with the President of the Association of PHILJOHN Cares, Philippe Nkouaya, to promote the socioeconomic integration of young people in the country. 


The agreement was signed on Thursday March 6, 2025 in the conference room of the Ministry in Yaounde. The partnership runs for 3 years and can be renewed. 


The Youth Affairs and Civic Education boss was flanked during the event by his immediate collaborators such as the Secretary General of MINJCE. 

Benga Zachee TR, the Inspector General of Services, Akede Metougue, Inspector General of Programmes among others. 


Minister Mounouna Foutsou rejoiced over the final outcome of this partnership saying he has enriched the ecosystem of youths in Cameroon. 


He congratulated the President of the Association, “for coming back to Cameroon and thinking of empowering other young people.”


“This partnership agreement shows that any Cameroonian can return back home and receive government support to carry on any development project of their choice, my association is so happy to work with the government and empower young Cameroonians back home”. Philipe Nkouaya disclosed that


It is 8 years since I took my decision to return to Cameroon and invest back home. We want to create 3000 jobs in the next 10 years”, he said. 


The President of the PHILJOHN Cares Association explained to reporters that, “We are an association that focuses mainly on social educative programmes. 


PHILJOHN Excellency Programme, which aims at empowering the youth by giving 300 internships during the period of June and August, and after that, help them have jobs in Cameroon, because it's very important not only to have training programmes, but to prove to those youth that they can have jobs after the training. 


That's why it's important for us to do this partnership with the ministry, because we can empower the youth in the 10 regions of Cameroon to have jobs in the technological centre.”
