The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education (MINJEC), through its South West Regional Delegation, has entered a strategic partnership with the Walcutz Community Development Association (WACODA).
Through one of its flagship projects, the Cameroon Youths Entrepreneurial Summit and Awards, the partnership aims to strengthen youth empowerment initiatives across the Southwest Region and beyond.
The partnership agreement was officially signed on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, during a ceremony attended by stakeholders from both institutions, youth representatives, and members of WACODA.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Delegate of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Isaac Ikombe Mbua, described the collaboration as a significant step toward improving opportunities for young people and expanding the government’s outreach to communities through innovative platforms such as the Cameroon Youths Entrepreneurial Summit.
According to Mbua Isacc, the partnership is expected to benefit both the state and the WACODA community by creating stronger avenues for youth engagement, empowerment, and civic participation.
He further stated that the collaboration would enable the Ministry to deepen its impact on youths within the Southwest Region while supporting WACODA’s vision of promoting creativity, entrepreneurship, and youth development.
“The youths are going to see the change,” the Delegate emphasized, noting that the initiative would serve as an important bridge between the government and young people.
He added that the partnership also provides an opportunity for the state to effectively reach and engage its people through the WACODA platform.
The Vice President of WACODA, Tony Awah, welcomed the partnership, describing it as a milestone that will open new possibilities for collaboration in youth empowerment, skills development, innovation, and community development.
The partnership is expected to pave the way for future programs, trainings, and initiatives aimed at equipping young people with the tools needed for personal and professional growth.
