She was called Hon. Gladys Tombise Priso Mbonya, fondly called Dada Mbonya, mother of Nyango Martha Limunga Eliva, who was the First Female Mayor of the Limbe III Council, and grandmother of Nyango's Gladys Tombise epse Lalao and Isabelle Epety epse Simo Kabelo.  

Hon. Gladys Tombise Priso Mbonya was an epitome of beauty in her days. She was a woman of status and caliber who consistently advocated for truth, peace, unity, and the welfare of the people, especially fighting for the rights of the Woman. 

A woman who upheld the principles of the Lord to heights. A woman who would give it her everything to make sure everyone is okay and Happy. 

During her tenure as MP, she championed the continuity of education for the girl child, even if pregnant, provided she could sustain both her present state and academics; girls could attend school even if married, and a woman could pursue a full-time career while being a fulfilled housewife. 

She was a prominent businesswoman who imported and sold second-hand clothing from Britain, as well as salamanda shoes and apaga trousers. 

Her touch in culinary arts can never be forgotten as it flows through to her descendants. MP's like Hon. S.T Muna, Hon. John Ngu Foncha just to name a few would have no dinner without the touch of Dada's kitchen.
