The Mayor of Limbe I Council, Mbwaye Eposi Florence, on the eve of Christmas celebration, communed with staff and donated cooking items to facilitate their festive period.

Speaking during the brief event at Limbe I Council Bota, Mayor Mbwaye Eposi said it was normal for her, as a mother, to donate food items like; bags of rice, groundnut oil among others to her staff.

"I just feel for my workers as a mother that I should do certain things as a mother. I think the gesture is just normal for me to do that," Mbwaye Eposi said.

Earlier, the Mayor had an indoor camera meeting with her staff, in which a staff delegate was nominated for College I and College II, and the names will be sent to Yaounde.

Quizzed on what transpired during the meeting, she said they discussed a few things concerning the new law of taxation.

"I told the recovery department to be redeployed because we will open a taxation unit next year. Taxation alone can't do the work because we need a database," Mbwaye Eposi explained.

Quizzed on her take-home message to her staff, she emphasized moderate enjoyment. "I told them they should enjoy moderately because too much excitement can bring more trouble," Mbwaye Eposi added.

She emphasised that the staff should remember the significance of Christmas and the death of Christ.

"Christ is coming, yes, he is coming to unite us, he is coming to reconcile himself with us. He is coming for us to know that there's hope and assurance. Mayor Mbwaye Eposi added.

Mayor Mbwaye Eposi urged her staff to reconcile with one another, forgive one another, and share with one another during this festive period.
