Mawoh veteran football club executives commissioned, set sights on Limbe inter-quarter trophy

The Newly elected executive members of the Mawoh veteran football club have been commissioned into their functions, with Cameroon-based American Babah Paco Sucess as President. They were installed on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Carrefour Mondial Mawoh.

Speaking during the installation ceremony, the Quarter Head of Upper Mawoh, John Epey, said he and the Mawoh Quarter Council will support the club in the upcoming Limbe City Council Inter-Quarter Competition, Fresh Edition 5, in full.

He expressed confidence in the newly elected executives and called on the Mawoh community to stand behind the Mawoh Veteran Football Club as they aim to win the Limbe City Council Inter-Quarter trophy.

On his part, President-elect Babah Paco Success highlighted the importance of uniting the Mawoh community, describing it as a laudable idea. He thanked the founding fathers of the club and said their objectives go beyond winning the trophy to promoting the image of the community worldwide.

He promised to work with members to build the community despite challenges.

The installation ceremony paved the way for part two of the program: fundraising for the club’s participation in the upcoming Limbe City Council Inter-Quarter Competition. President Paco Success opened the fundraising with a contribution of 500,000 FCFA.

The Upper Mawoh Quarter Council, Rainbow Association, Lower Mawoh Traditional Council invitees, and associations based in Mawoh also made on-the-spot contributions.

The club aims to raise 5 million FCFA for its participation in the competition.
