The first edition of the Limbe Senior Citizen Recognition Award will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Limbe Botanic Garden.
The event, which is placed under the auspices of the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Fako, is organized by the Limbe Boys and Girls Association (LIBGA) and falls in line with the objective of the association to make the city of Limbe greater than they met it.
In an official communique signed by the association's president, Ngwana Gerald, the event to begin at 11am, will witness some carefully selected Limbe based senior being recognized for their incredible contributions to the development of the town of FRIENDSHIP during their era of active service in the various walks of life.
Friday's event comes to add to the many meaningful activities carried out by LIBGA since it was created some six years ago.
It's worth noting that this is the first time, senior citizens in Limbe are particularly being recognized for their remarkable actions as denizens of the city.
