Limbe Paramount Chief, HRM John Elufa Manga Williams, on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, received over 100 communication students from the University of Douala at his palace in Mbonjo Down Beach, Limbe III Subdivision.
The students, led by Limbe-based communication icon Dr. Blasius Ngome and accompanied by Prof. John Madiba, visited the Paramount Chiefdom as part of an ongoing study on bilingualism, multiculturalism, and living together.
HRM John Elufa Manga Williams used the platform to welcome the august guests and brief them on the history of the Limbe Royal Chiefdom, his ascension to the throne, and his 8 years of reign. He emphasized that it had not been an easy path but one full of challenges.
He urged the students to be hardworking and assiduous in pursuing their academics so as to excel in their future careers.
He gifted each student a piece of his traditional coronation fabric as a symbol of living together.
Introducing his delegation to the Limbe Paramount Chief and members of his Royal Traditional Council, Dr. Blasius Ngome said their visit was in line with the course on bilingualism, multiculturalism, and living together.
He added that the Communication Department of the University of Douala made it possible for the students to gain first-hand knowledge of the cultural heritage, functioning, and impact of the Limbe Royal Chiefdom on the population as a case study.
For their part, the students expressed overwhelming joy and gratitude to the Limbe monarch for the enriching reception and presented him with a portrait of himself as a symbolic gift.
The Secretary General of the Limbe Royal Chiefdom, Peter Martin, gave a brief background on the organizational structure, vision, and functioning of the Royal Chiefdom of Limbe in rekindling the flames of Limbe’s cultural heritage.
