The Paramount Chief of Limbe HM Elufa Manga Williams has officially inaugurated two boreholes in upper Mbonjo and Mbende West Quarters on Monday April 3, 2023.
Speaking during the event event the quarter head of Mbonjo Quarter Pierre Ngassa appreciated the Paramount Chief for coming to their aid to provide them with borehole taps.
He assured the Paramount Chief that they will take good care of the borehole taps. Ngassa equally pleas for more borehole.
On his part the quarter head of Mbende West Teke Johnson Ndive appreciated the gift. “The population of Mbende West have been longing to have portable water for quite some years now. You have blessed us with this stand tap. This stand tap will go a long way to sustain a population of about 1000 inhabitants”. Teke Johnson said.
He equally pleaded for solar system lights in the quarter to help facilitate the flow of the water supply.
“We promise to assure you of the maintenance and cleanliness of the environment of the Bore Hole. Let us love Cameroon our country.” Teke Johnson said.
Taking the floor the Vice President of the special project committee Peter Moka Martin said the funding for this project is in line with the remains of the Coronation funds, with objective to bring back sustainable development to the communities.
“This initiative is specifically designed to address basic human needs within our Chiefdom, which include water supply, health, basic education, vocational training, sanitary environment and rural infrastructure. Access to clean water is not only a basic need of mankind, but a necessity to sustain all forms of life in the world.” Peter Moka added.
However, the people of Mbende West will be able to enjoy a better life with this social amenity now being possible with this borehole project. He however commended the community of Mbende West for being generous and patient all along, despite having only one common source of water. I am confident that the new water supply system funded by the Chiefdom will ensure not only easy access to water, but, an efficient and a regular water supply system for the whole community.
“This donation from the Paramount Chief is in recognition of the basic human need to access clean drinking water. The Royal Chiefdom of Limbe has prioritized the development of basic facilities such as this project, to ensure population's accessibility to clean water.” Peter Moka said.
On his part the Paramount Chief of Limbe HM John Elufa Manga Williams said the special project committee found out that water crisis was the main preoccupation of many inhabitants of Limbe that why they decided to construct the boreholes.

He explained that they will be constructing one borehole for each quarter every year, but if God permit they will even construct two borehole for each quarter every year.
HM John Elufa said apart from water they are equally working for solar electricity for some quarters.
