Limbe III Regional Councillor empowers women, young girls in liquid soap production

Ahead of the 41st edition of the International Women’s Day Commemoration on Sunday, March 8, 2026, the South West Regional Councillor for Limbe III Subdivision, Bimbia Hon. Yvonne Sama Ngowo, organised a two-day training workshop on liquid soap production for Limbe III women and girls from Monday, March 1 to Tuesday, March 2, 2026, at Njalla Quan Sports Academy. 

According to Hon. Yvonne Sama Ngowo, the initiative aimed to empower women economically and enable them to train others, promoting self-employment. 

“I decided to carry out this project to empower women and girls in Limbe III because it’s an income-generating activity that will help generate income to support their families and communities,” she said. 

The Divisional Officer for Limbe III Subdivision, Dr. Ndofi Ngangeh Isidore, applauded Hon. Yvonne Sama's initiative, encouraging the trainees to take the lessons seriously and implement what they were taught. 

The trainees appreciated Hon. Yvonne Sama Ngowo for thinking of them ahead of the International Women’s Day commemoration and promised to implement the lessons and start businesses to generate income.
