Limbe I Mayor, Mbwaye Eposi, succors Mokeba Farms fire victims

The Mayor for Limbe I Council, Mbwaye Eposi Florence, together with her collaborators, offered financial assistance to victims of the Mokeba Farms fire incident on Friday, January 9, 2026.


According to reports, the fire incident started at about 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Mokeba Farms in Limbe I Subdivision. Reports indicate that the fire erupted when everyone was not at home.


It is reported to have resulted from a short circuit. At press time, 18 rooms were burnt, with an estimated loss of millions of FCFA, but no human life was lost in the incident.


Speaking during a brief event at Mokeba Farms, Mayor Mbwaye Eposi said she thought it wise to condole with the victims of the fire incident and to encourage them to have faith in God at this crucial time in their lives.


In his intervention, the Quarter Head of Mokeba Farms, George Teke, explained that when the fire started, he informed authorities of Limbe Municipality, which brought Limbe City Council fire fighters.


Speaking on behalf of the victims, Mr. Ngonga appreciated the Mayor for her largesse and pleaded with others to come to their rescue in this crucial moment of their lives.
