Limbe I Mayor Mbwaye Eposi consults population on 2025 priorities

The Mayor of Limbe I Council, Mbwaye Eposi Florence, has been urged to tackle urban disorder, improve hygiene and sanitation standards, enhance electricity supply among other development initiatives in Limbe I municipality.


These are some of the resolutions arrived at during Budget Orientation Debate (BOD) organised by Limbe I Council on Wednesday, July 16, 2025.


Welcoming the population, Limbe I Mayor, Mbwaye Eposi Florence express joy for the massive turnout and promptness they all turnout to her invitation which she said is clear indication of their interest and attachment to the well-being of the Limbe I Council and municipality as a whole.


Mbwaye announced clean quarter competition in Limbe I municipality and equally take part in clean city contest in the country next year.


In this light she enjoined quarter heads to ensure waste is properly dispose in the different neighborhood especially the gateway into Limbe I municipality.


Mbwaye Eposi encouraged communities to work towards developing their quarters before applauding those who have already taking initiative to light their neighborhoods, rehabilitate roads among others.


She beckoned on the population to work in synergy with Limbe I Council and enjoy many development projects from the partnership. She promised to bring more development projects in Limbe I municipality.


Mbwaye Eposi explained that BOD gives opportunity for each denizens of Limbe I municipality, to chip in his or her contributions regarding projects or reforms which they think the Limbe I Council should adopt for the prosperity of the Municipality.


“This BOD provides the avenue for the Limbe I council to have a consultative platform with the population on key projects in Limbe I municipality for 2025”,


“Everyone's opinion regardless of class, background or rank in society shall have equal weight and value.” Mbwaye Eposi said.


Limbe I Council Mayor Mbwaye Eposi is optimistic that this BOD shall trigger a process that shall shape and render more realistic 2024 Budget of the Limbe I Council.


Mbwaye Eposi announced that the Council will offer 350 free birth certificates to inhabitants of Limbe I municipality under My Name Campaign and equally on August 10, 2025 organise free marriage to mark the International Day of Civil Status.


In his intervention, Fako Divisional Delegate in the Ministry of Decentralisation and Local Development, Naseri Julius applauded Mayor Mbwaye and his team for respecting the law in holding their BOD.


He urged all stakeholders of Limbe I municipality to work in synergy with Limbe I Council for outstanding results.
