Limbe I Council invests in education with furniture donation

The Mayor of Limbe I Council, Mbwaye Eposi Florence continues her efforts to enhance education in the municipality.

On Wednesday May 28, 2025 Mayor Mbwaye Eposi Florence handed over 100 benches, teachers' tables, and chairs to four primary schools;  GS SAMCO, GS Moliwe, Ecole Public Francophone Bonadikombo, and GS Busumbu. 

This donation is part of the council's broader "Improving Learning Environments" project, aimed at creating conducive learning spaces for students. According to Mayor Mbwaye, about 40% of the project's objectives have been achieved so far. 

During the handover ceremony on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, Mayor Mbwaye Eposi Florence stressed the importance of proper handling and maintenance of the donated furniture. She said,

"When we give them school materials like this, we expect that we protect them. We handle them well. 

So that next year, we are only going to add. We are not going to start doing maintenance or repairs."

The Mayor expressed her commitment to ensuring all primary schools benefit from the council's programs, stating, "I have a program for all my primary schools; next year, we are going to give other schools." 

She urged head teachers to inform students that the government has invested in their education and well-being, emphasizing responsible furniture handling. 

This initiative demonstrates the Limbe 1 Council's dedication to improving education in the municipality. With continued support, the council aims to create a better learning environment for all students.
