Limbe City Mayor galvanises CPDM Limbe I to raise over CFA 9 million to support Biya’s re-election

The Head of Limbe I communal campaign committee, Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale, on Friday, October 3, galvanised militants of CPDM Limbe I to raised over FCFA 9 million to support their candidate, the incumbent President Paul Biya re-election come Sunday, October 12.


The event was held at the Limbe City Council Hall at Down Beach, Limbe and was presided at by Paul Efome L.M Ngale.


FCFA 9.125 million raised to support Biya’s victory 


To show proof for their support to President Biya, militants and sympathisers in Fako I A, contributed the sum of FCFA 9.125 million. Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome doled out FCFA 5 Million to support campaign activities in the days ahead. 


Limbe Limbe I Council Mayor, Florence Eposi Mbwaye, contributed FCFA 500,000. While, her two Deputies -Motomby Henry and Beatrice Ndongo contributed FCFA 100, 000 each.


Fako 1 A Section President, Ludwig Makaka Williams contributed FCFA 500,000. The two MPs for the Fako East Constituency: Hon. Etombi Gladys and Hon. Findi Stanley, each contributed FCFA 100,000 as the money piled up gradually. 


Business guru, Dima Gabriel contributed FCFA 300,000 while his wife, Catherine Dima gave FCFA 100,000. Meantime, the CEO of Gilgal Towers Hotel contributed FCFA 200,000 to support the Limbe I Campaign efforts. 


YCPDM CPDM Fako I A assures support for Biya


The President of YCPDM Fako I A, Ekema Roland Ngale doled out FCFA 250,000 to support Biya’s campaign activities. He he is optimistic Fako I A will give Biya 100% victory.


Other militants, amongst them Senior councillors and councillors also came up to the fund raising basket with varying sums. 


By the close of the fund raising exercise that took less than an hour, the Coordinator, Vivanje Ivo announced that their militants and sympathisers had raised the sum of FCFA 9.125 million. 


Campaign of hope, passion and determination 


Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale who doubles as the Campaign Head for the Fako I A Communual Campaign Team, urged militants and sympathisers to embark in door-to-door campaign in their various Subsections and campaign with determination and passion and ensure every voter in Limbe, he said, has only one choice. He reminded them about all the projects that Biya has already realised in Limbe, Fako and beyond.


The campaign launch was marked with speeches from other top rank of the party here in Limbe I such as Mayor Eposi Mbwaye, the Section President, Makaka Williams, the YCPDM President, Ekema and Hon. Gladys Etombi, among others. 


They all cited on Biya's achievements, especially the recent actions he has made such as the complete payment of salary arrears of the CDC workers worth FCFA 15.7 Billion and the start of work to reconstruct the damaged units of the National Oil Refining Company, SONARA. 


Hon. Etombi says Biya is right man for the top job


In her intervention, The member of parliament for Fako East constituency, Hon. Etombi Ikome Gladys emphasised on Biya’s slogan of his campaign, stating that Biya has proven to be a great State man, which the whole world respect him for unity, peace, stability, progress and development.


“Yes! Biya is great. That’s the reason we are rallying behind him. He knows the road. He is a good visionary and a reference President to the whole world because of his wisdom.


“He’s tolerance, patient and love his people. He knows how to lead his people. He taught us living together as one family. Hon. Etombi Ikome said.


She insists militants should not accept any proposal from adventures who will not implement what they say. CPDM is the light others are copying from us”,


“People are waiting for Sunday, October 12, to carry out their civic duties to vote and vote Paul Biya for victory” Hon. Etombi Ikome added.
