Limbe City Council Deputy Treasurer, Prince Ekwa Isaac Kaka, has been designated traditional ruler of Bokwai village in Buea, Fako Division of the South West Region. He takes over from his late dad, Chief Kaka Esowe Daniel.
The Limbe City Council Deputy Treasurer was chosen as the new Bokwai traditional ruler by majority kingmakers and family heads on Friday, February 13, 2026, during chieftaincy consultative talks held at Bokwai village.
The process unfolded under the watchful eyes of the Divisional Officer, DO, of Buea Subdivision, Abba Abdouraman.
Brief intro of Prince Ekwa Isaac Kaka
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Dschang, a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Pan African Institute for Development - West Africa (PAID-WA), Buea, and a Diploma in Council Finance and Treasury Management from CEFAM/NASLA Buea. He is presently a final year masters student in the department of political science in UB.
Speaking shortly after his designation by the kingmakers, Prince Ekwa Isaac Kaka expressed gratitude to the kingmakers for selecting him as the new Chief of Bokwai village. He urged the people of Bokwai to rally behind him so the village can be developed.
