Political analyst, Abel Elimbi Lobé has challenged political actors to stay off President Paul Biya’s family issues as they go about their presidential campaign which will be officially launch on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
He made this clarion call during a live TV program Libre Expression on Info TV this week. According to Abel Elimbi Lobe, politicians are expected to talk about political projects and not about the family of President Paul Biya.
"All of you who were talking about Paul Biya's children, none of you are talking about his children. None of you are even letting us see your children," Abel Elimbi Lobe stated.
It should be noted that the recent outings of Brenda Biya, daughter of Paul Biya, actually provoked comments on social media.
These comments did not seem to please Abel Elimbi Lobe “Leave Paul Biya's family out of the political fight. Tell us about Paul Biya's public actions as a political actor," Abel Elimbi Lobe proclaimed.
On the same set, Abel Elimbi Lobe points out that neither in Senegal nor in Ivory Coast was anyone talking about the children of Senghor, Abdou Diouf or Houphouet Boigny.
