LCC inter-quarter tourney: Six teams secure quarterfinal tickets

Bota Port, Jamestown from Lumpsum and Mokunda have joined Cassava Farms, Mbende Vipers and Choc City in the quarter finals stage of the ongoing Limbe City Council Interquarters Football Tournament Fresh Edition IV. 

The trio obtained their tickets yesterday, August 13, 2025 at the Limbe Community Field following their respective 8th finals matches of the tournament. 

Coincidentally, they all advanced through penalties shootout. Bota Port sealed their spot through a 3 to 2 victory over Mawoh Rising Stars, Jamestown of Lumpsum also knocked out Clerks Quarter 3-2 while Mokunda thrashed Garden Strikers by 5goals to 4. 

The quarter finals list will be completed this after following the last two 8th finals matches to be stage at the Limbe Community Field. In the first game at 12pm, tournament favorite, heavyweight and crowd pulling Bonadikombo FC shall grind ashes with their neighbors and surprise package Moliwe in a game described by soccer pundits as a game between David and Goliath. 

Meanwhile in the second game and last 8th finals game of the tournament which is going to be a super top match, resilient Middle Farms FC of Ezemo, Penda Mofa shall take on star studded Lions of Lower Busumbu of tournament's highest paid coach Kwedi Elombo at 2pm.
