LCC inter-quarter tourney: Defending champions Cassava Farms faces Choc City in finals

Defending champions Cassava Farms FC will face Choc City from Cite Sic in the finals of the ongoing crowd pulling Limbe City Council (LCC) Inter quarter Football Tournament Fresh Edition IV on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Limbe Centenary Stadium.

This follows mouthwatering and heartbreaking semifinals matches of the tournament staged on Wednesday, August 28, 2025 at the Limbe Community Field. 

Crowd-pulling Cassava Farms of defense backwire and dependable Etchu Perry, booked their ticket for the final after thrashing their noisy neighbors Jamestown from Lumpsum of midfield maestro Otia Nestor by 4 goals to 2 through penalties shootout. 

Meanwhile on their part, sensational Choc City of experience goalkeeper Haschou Kerrido advanced to the final thanks to their 3 to 1 spanking of youthful Mokunda FC of striker Luma Frank Mafany. 

It should be noted that Cassava Farms FC will be playing the finals of the tournament for the fifth consecutive time after 2001, 2002, 2023 and 2024 while on their part Choc City will be playing the final for their very first time. 

Brief flashback of LCC inter-quarter 2025 edition 

The fourth edition of the tournament launched on Friday, July 18, 2025 by the vision bearer, Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale with 24 participating teams for male category and 8 teams for female category

The tournament baptised “Living Together” has grown from strength to strength which is reflected on cash prize risen from FCFA 2.2 million last year to FCFA 2.5 million this year.

Since assuming leadership of the Limbe Council, the City Mayor Paul Efome L.M Ngale has significantly elevated the status of the tournament, investing his time and resources to gainfully occupy the youths and scouting for young talents.
