The famous Limbe City Council inter-quarter football tournament will, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, enter into day four of playing, with Mbende Vipers FC in Pool A topping the chart with 7 points and Home Boys FC of Mile 2 in Pool C also with 7 points.

They are closely followed by Bonadikombo FC in Pool B with 6 points and Lower Busumbu FC with 6 points. A total of 36 matches have been played already, which is made up of 6 matches in 4 pools so far, since the competition began on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

The matches billed for Tuesday, July 29, 2025, will feature Motowoh Vs Cold Source FC, Bonadikombo Vs Victorious Youths of Ambas Bay, and Middle Farms Vs Home Boys FC.

The tournament, which is in its 4th edition, is organized by Limbe City Council under the visionary leadership of Limbe City Mayor, Paul Efome L.M Ngale, with the sole motive of gainfully occupying the youths during this summer holiday.

It has gained attraction from bike riders, food vendors, and taxi drivers across the city of Limbe and is regarded as the most crowd-pulling tournament across West and Central Africa.

Speaking to KNews, the head coach of Spartans FC Mabeta New Layout says he is optimistic that his team will defeat Kedjom FC of Wosenge.

“We are making sure that the mistakes of our previous games are not repeated, such as absenteeism and late coming, among others. Our players will be well-organized and defeat Kedjom FC of Wosenge”,

“The entire team has been affected by the defeat on Friday by Clerk Quarter by 2:1, due to the fact that our goalkeeper was red-carded.” He opined that football is a game of chance and no game should be treated as a small game, and no one should be taken for granted”,

“We need to prepare hard to face Kedjom FC of Wosenge, despite the fact that they have only one point and we have 2 points. This doesn’t mean we’re stronger than them,” Boumsong Roger Jesus Mepuna said.

He added pleaded with elites, friends, and goodwill supporters to support them both morally, financially, and otherwise for the two last upcoming games.

It should be noted that the tournament is made up of 24 teams from the quarters of Limbe municipality, who are competing for FCFA 2.5 million.
