The population of Limbe municipality have expressed gratitude towards Limbe City Council (LCC) firefighters unit for their swift response in tackling two recent fire outbreaks.

The first intervention occurred on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Central Pole in the Towe neighborhood.

According to victims, an electrical fault sparked a fire that engulfed several plank houses (karabot), leaving some temporarily homeless.

Thanks to the swift response of the LCC Firefighters, who arrived minutes after being alerted, the fire was rapidly extinguished.

The prompt action of the firefighters has undoubtedly saved lives and property, showcasing their dedication to serving the community.

The second intervention took place at the Casvita factory opposite Savoy Palms on Monday, June 23, 2025. The cause was an electrical fault on a machine.

Once again, the LCC Firefighters delivered a prompt response. Fortunately, both incidents resulted in only material damage, with no human casualties reported.

The population applauded the professionalism of the LCC Firefighters in both cases. Despite treacherous access roads due to heavy rains, the rescue team arrived on time.

The team, led by Firefighting Bureau Chief Taku Valery, instilled confidence in the population, who appreciated the free service provided by the LCC Firefighters.

The population expressed gratitude to Limbe City Mayor Paul Efome L.M. Ngale for revamping the firefighters' activities, which have significantly benefited the municipality.

These interventions mark a strong comeback for the LCC Firefighters, who have been equipped with a new firefighting truck and advanced gadgets to handle emergencies effectively.

It should be noted that this intervention follows days after successfully completing intensive training in rescue operations, the Limbe City Council Firefighters have already intervened twice within 48 hours in the municipality.
