Karen, Friends Hope Association sensitises, gifts Covid-19 tools in Buea

Karen and Friends Hope Association together with global youth mobilisation on Sunday February 13, 2021 sensitised and doles out Covid-19 equipments like soap, hand sanitizer, face mask and buckets among others to inhabitants in Bokwaongo, Nanga and Campaign street nursery and primary school.


Speaking at each community, the CEO of Karen and Friends Hope Association, Limunga Karen said the reason why they carried out this project together with global youth mobilisation which they their main sponsor for the project is because Covid-19 is still livingwith us even though most people think there is no Covid-19.

So this campaign is to sensitise most especially the youths to know that Covid-19, it is a reality and still living in our midst.

“We should accept Covid-19 in our society because Covid-19 is here to stay. So, we need to accept the changes that's going on with Covid-19. We went to Bokwaongo village and now we are here in Nanga village to also sensitise the youths about Covid-19 our next target, we will be going to campaign street nursery and primary school in campaign street to sensitise since they are also youths. So we say no to Covid-19.


On her part, Likowo Becky a volunteer from Karen and friends Hope Foundation, said it was her first time working with them in their initiative of helping the population mostly the youths, about the awareness of Covid-19. She joy working with her team as she has learned something, new about Covid-19.

“They are so information I was misinformed about but alot of clearifications have been made today just by joining Karen and friends in sharing hand sanitizer, soaps, buckets and I will carry this information back to my quarter and my own house to create awareness about Covid-19” Likowo explained.


The Chief of Nanga village HRH Njoh Fritz Esaka express joy and appreciated the Association for coming to sensitise the youths about Covid-19 in his village.


“Those who were not able to have the buckets are now benefiting from these buckets, we thank this organisation very much, we do hope as this organisation is going to sensitise other communities” HRH Njoh Fritz question.

One of the beneficiary, Mbulet Noma expressed gratitude to Keren and Friends Hope Association. “I will use the bucket to wash my dress and the soap to wash my children and the hand sanitizer to sanitise my hands” Noma said.
