Incumbent Fako I A President, Motanga Andrew Monjimba has been re-elected section President for Fako I A. The results were officially proclaimed on Thursday September 30, 2021 at the Limbe Council Hall Down Beach by the Vice President of the electoral committee Mrs. Njalla Lilian.
Motanga Andrew, regained the position after trashing his challenger Ndoping Stephen 865 votes against 88 votes.
Meanwhile in WCPDM, incumbent Eposi Luma Njanjo defeated his challenger Limbe I council Mbwaye Eposi Florence by 630 against 227. The lone YCPDM section President claimed 177 votes as he was unopposed.
It should be noted that, both Motanga Andrew Monjimba and Eposi Luma Njanjo have been at the helm of section President since 2002.
The electoral committee, headed by Hon. Gobina Mukoko Simon, noted that, after the official launching of the Divisional Control Committee (D.C.C) by the H.E Lyonga Pauline, the Section Electoral Committee (S.E.C) began working immediately and had two meetings on Thursday August 17 and Tuesday August 31, 2021 respectively.
The second meeting summoned all the Sub Sections Presidents of the three Wings to findout their difficulties if any and to collect names of their polling agents in their various Sub Sections.
Submission of Branch Executives was slated for September 14, 2021 in their respective Sub Sections. Election were organised in the 18 Sub Section, except Bosumbu where no candidate submitted a candidature because of the current security crises that prevails in that community.
Elections at the Sub Section took place on Thursday 23 September and that of the Section took place on the Saturday September 25, 2021.
At the eve of the section election on September 24, 2021 a meeting was held with all the chairpersons of the polling stations. To drill on how the elections should be done. This meeting was chaired by the president of the Section Electoral Committee Fako I A Hon. Gobina Mukoko Simon.
